Rough measurements of my room were taken
These measurements were then converted according to a 1:20 scale, for modelling with plain A4 printer paper. (I decided not to stick with 1:10 as it would have required pieces that exceeded the size of the A4 paper I only have available in my house)
The final result:
A second model was also made of the same room at the same scale, but with cardboard instead (sourced from cereal boxes). I found that the cardboard, while much sturdier than printer paper and possessing the thickness to prevent bleeding of light through the material, was also a bit harder to manipulate and glue together.
